Dublin's Country
Dublin's Country started broadcasting in October 2001 following the award of a special interest music licence for the city earlier in the year.

After a few days on test, it was officially launched by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern on the 15th.

Dublin's Country was troubled from the start, not least by its own seeming lack of identity. On-air identification went through many stages and at one point the word 'Country' was dropped from the title altogether. They eventually settled on identifying as '106.8FM Dublin's Country', which followed increases in listenership, and a new professional direction which included some top on-air names.

An attempted buyout by Scottish Radio Holdings failed in 2002.

Dublin's Country is based in studios that are located in Bray, Co Wicklow.
