WLR FM
WLR FM is licensed to broadcast news, music and current affairs to Waterford city and county on 95.1MHz and 97.5MHz.

WLR FM have been on air with a licence since 1989. They existed prior to this as Waterford Local Radio, a pirate station which launched in 1978 and closed when a new broadcast bill was introduced at the start of 1989.

Today's incarnation broadcasts from brand new state of the art studios in both Waterford City and Dungarvan. They share their broadcast centre in Ardkeen, which opened in 2003, with regional station Beat 102-103. WLR moved there from their previous location in Georges Street. The Dungarvan studios opened in September 1998, originally used for one programme a day plus local production work.

Transmitters are sited in the east and west of Waterford.
