Big rise in profits for Radio Tara

Radio Tara, the Trim, Co Meath, company which broadcasts the Atlantic 252 radio station, has reported a huge increase in profits for 1995. The company showed net profits of £2.5 million in 1995 compared with £300,000 the previous year. Revenues increased 57 per cent to £7.9 million, while operating profits increased from £565,000 to £2.7 million. Radio Tara broadcasts primarily for the British market and is 80 per cent owned by the European media company CLT and 20 per cent by RTE.
