Cork’s 96FM and C103 has reaffirmed its status as the most listened to radio station in Cork with the latest JNLR audience figures. The listenership figures for the 12 month period to the end of September 2009 show that 49% (194,000) of people in Cork city and county listen to the stations each day. This is a slight increase on the same period last year. The average quarter hour audience is now at 55,000 and is the highest of any local radio station in Ireland. The figures also show that the daily listenership to Neil Prendeville’s show on Cork’s 96FM at 101,000 has surpassed RTE Radio 1’s total daily reach in the Cork market place.

The fantastic figure for the Neil Prendeville show on 96FM, combined with the fact that C103’s Cork Today programme maintained its audience, highlight this fact.
