CITYBEAT LAUNCH iPHONE APP AND COMPETITION 10th December 2009
From next Monday Belfast station Citybeat will celebrate the launch of a new iPhones app with iPhone Christmas giveaways. To win listeners must tune into Citybeat and when they hear the 'Citybeat feel good' ringtone, they have to call the station to try and win a brand new iPhone worth £450.

Citybeat's app, a first for Northern Ireland, streams the station's broadcasts onto iPhones around the UK and Ireland. Artist name, track and buying options are shown when music is playing. Plus there are quick link options that put users in contact with the station, making it easy for them to request their favourite songs by text, email and facebook.

Dorothy Nixon, Managing Director of Citybeat, said: "Radio is a portable medium and we are delighted that Citybeat are the first to embrace this new technology to give our listeners and clients even more opportunities to listen and connect with the station."

The competition will run for two weeks. Citybeat is available on 96.7MHz and 102.5MHz FM.
